2022 witnessed record breaking sales at 10 million electric cars worldwide

The International Energy Agency's annual flagship report on the state of e-mobility in the world, Global EV Outlook, was released this week, which highlights that clean transport is steadily catching up with climate ambitions. Aided by strong policy support across the world, electric vehicles have broken new records by crossing 10 million EVs on road by the end of 2022. The impact of transport electrification on the reduction in air pollution and oil consumption is also becoming noticeable in many geographies.
